China Exporter of the Year Award 2004

EFCO Ltd from Weybridge, this year’s winner of the 48 Group Club ‘China Exporter of the Year’ were presented with their award at the Institute of Export’s International Trade Conference Gala Dinner in Birmingham on the 30th September.

EFCO was formed in 1928 manufacturing furnaces for the metallurgical industry and has since been particularly successful in the design and manufacture of electrically heated Float Bath Roof used for Float Glass production lines.

EFCO, nominated by Charles Kendall Freight, have taken advantage of the massive investment in the Chinese Glass industry over the last two years, winning many projects in a very difficult market place and shipped eight new contracts between May 2003 and June 2004 with a value of over £2.5million. Their success has been based on a flexible and competitive approach to work with and alongside their Chinese customers.

EFCO will also receive the award at the London Chinese New Year Dinner on the 31st January 2005 at the Dorchester.
